CM Events LLC (“Company,” “Checked Mates,” “we,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and security. We want you to understand how we collect and use information from the Checked Mates platform, including (a) the website checked-mates.com and all its subdomains (“Website”), (b) any mobile application(s) provided by the Company, (c) the purchase and use of Checked Mates event tickets, and (d) participation in Checked Mates events (collectively, (a) – (d)  are the “Services”). We have developed this Privacy Policy to inform you of how we handle the Personal Information you provide us.

By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Whenever you submit information to the Services, whether through a computer or mobile device, or otherwise provide your Personal Information to us, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Services, and please do not submit any Personal Information to us through a mobile device or otherwise.

Information We Collect

“Personal Information” refers to any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual.

We may collect Personal Information directly from individuals, indirectly via tracking technologies on our Services or from third parties or individuals that provide your information with your authorization or otherwise on your behalf.  The Personal Information we may collect includes the following:

In order to facilitate payment processing, some third-party payment processors may share certain information necessary for payment processing with other third-party payment processors, including credit card data. Company does not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration, though certain of our digital analytics and advertising activities may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.

Event Photography and Videography

When you attend an event hosted or organized by the Company, photographs and videos may be taken that capture your image or likeness. We may use these images and recordings for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and other marketing materials. By attending one of our events, you acknowledge that photography and videography may take place. Where required by applicable law, we will seek your consent before using your image for these purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please inform a member of our event staff at the time of the event, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. If you wish to request the removal of an image or recording in which you appear, or if you would like to withdraw your consent to the use of your image, please contact us at info@checked-mates.com. We will review and respond to all such requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and relevant United States privacy legislation.

Your Communication Choices

You may opt out of receiving email marketing communications from us by clicking the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us. Please note that we may still send you transactional and administrative emails even if you opt out of marketing communications.

  • European Union Visitors

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information via the Services from visitors in this age group.  If you believe that we have unintentionally collected Personal Information about your child, you can contact us by mail or email as described below.

Company takes reasonable steps to protect Personal Information as you transmit it to our Services and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise and/or update this Privacy Policy from time to time in our sole discretion. While we will endeavor to provide notice of material changes to this Privacy Policy via email, all changes are effective immediately when we post them and apply to all access to and use of the Services thereafter. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of a revised Privacy Policy means that you accept and agree to the Privacy Policy changes.
